Dreams do come true !!

Yesterday, we celebrated New Year according to our Hindu Calender. After every New Year day, people make new year resolutions and goals to be achieved in the year that started. I did that every year diligently until past 10 years.. Yesterday, while reading HTBrunch, I came across the article of "The Dream Catcher" wherein actor Sushant Singh Rajput had written 50 dreams he would love to fulfill. It reminded me of a dairy I used to write my dreams in..  So after 10 years, I combed through my cupboard and found my dairy. Went through past dreams, Voila!! I have fulfilled almost all my dreams written for till 2020 except "learn a musical instrument" and "write a book".  As far as learning a musical instrument is concerned...  I confess I tried during my master years to learn guitar and failed miserably.. But considering that I am matured now, no harm retrying.. Maybe a different instrument. Writing a book..haha.. What was I thinking back then.. I was very sur...

Making of Mini-Movie - “Hi.. I’m Satyu”

Hello friends !! To start with this documentary movie, I knew only one thing.. that I wanted to make this 10 min audio-visual presentation on Autism & nothing else – how to make a movie, how to shoot/ record, how to write a script for it, which software to use & who’s gonna feature in this.. nothing.. I was clueless !!! I started with getting a brand new 12.1 MP camera, then writing a rough script… went through many websites in order to learn how to use Sony Vegas n Windows Moviemaker & other softwares .. followed by hunt for Autistic child/person who fits in the script.. Through word of mouth.. my masi’s friend Mrs. Bina Modak volunteered to help me out.. She is a great lady indeed!! ( A epitome of truthfulness, straight forwardness, down to earth & very helpful nature. A lovely mother of a lovely child- Satyajit .. who now is 21yr old autistic adult. ) She volunteered to be a part of my movie featuring herself and her child – Satyu.. A...

Day everything (except memories) was washed away!!!

Till date… I, every other day, realize & relive that day…. And I think many people must be doing the same… A lovely afternoon (when after 6yrs we had cable connection to our 31 inch TV…and it happens to be the last day as well… because till date we don’t have cable connection after that day..) when people like me, unaware of foredooming nature’s wrath.. were watching TV or sleeping… or even working in their offices.. & worst for those still walking or driving outdoors….learnt the “power of water”. In just an hour (at 3pm) of continuous downpour of rain… water followed the maxim “Little Drops of Water makes a Mighty Ocean” and An Ocean did it make!!!!…. And entered everybody’s building… and slowly & noiselessly in the house seeping down the mural boundaries.. Frantically.. everybody worked upon Darwin’s Principle.. and so did we.. Oops.. Friends if you haven’t still guessed the day… it was few days after my admission in the esteemed Seth G.S.Medical College in Occupational ...

When I born, I black When I grow up, I black When I go in sun, I black When I sick, I black And when I die, I still black And you white fellow When you born, you pink When you grow up, you white When you go in sun, you red When you cold, you blue When you scared, you yellow When you sick, you green And when you die, you grey And you calling me colored????? [This poem was nominated by UN as the best poem of 2008 & written by an African kid.]

Life’s like a River

Life’s like a river This flows day & night Achieving great heights Winning over every fight Life’s like a river, Waves breaking through every hurdle Deterring no spirits to overcome Searching for its alpine goals Life’s like a river Dances with everyone’s heartbeats Studies the music of pompous Enjoys the beauty of mirth ness in sacrifice Life’s like a river Master of its own Emotions!! Love-the greatest of all For hate it knows not Life’s like a river Joy & sorrow are its banks Follows it wherever it goes As they are inseparable Life’s like a river Competes with its own fears Wishes to overcome darkness Vibrates inspiration for what it aspires Life’s like a river Enchants the lives it passes Graciously through its moods Penetrates deep as time passes Life’s like a river Loves whatever good or bad Accepts it as God’s gift Not knowing what’s stored in it Life’s like a river Firm about friendship with ocean Sure of romance with moon Death creeps through summer But still eagerly l...

Are We Autistic ???

Just think over, friends!! Isn’t it that we do what we want to do? Behave the way we want to?? Don’t we have peculiar rituals or stereotyped sentences?? Aren’t we very particular about our social interaction (especially with people who have power.. whichever it may be) ?? Don’t we “hum” about certain things which powerful people say or which that makes us powerful?? Don’t we copy certain “cliché” phrases or certain behavior that’s termed “cool”??? Don’t we just want our needs, urges.. to be gratified immediately even at the cost of doing something wrong?? Don’t we just follow a same routine everyday without much variability?? Don’t we just shut our minds when life gets overloaded?? In this mundane fast paced life, don’t we just look through people around us merely as just any other object?? In this marks-oriented curriculum, aren’t we just “mugging” things without much thought & developing splinter skills?? Isn’t his unforgiving world built by us, ar...
